Recommended travel options for Battery Wharf Hotel Waterfront guests arriving in Boston from July 5 to August 31, 2023
The century-old Sumner Tunnel is undergoing needed upgrades this summer, limiting access in and around the city. In particular, the affected areas are East Boston, South Boston, and the Waterfront. The tunnel lies directly beneath some areas of the North end, as well. Massachusetts Department of Transportation has advised that this busy connector between Logan Airport and downtown Boston will be closed 7 days a week, 24 hours a day from July 5-August 31.
